TWB stands for Tyler W. Benfield. He is my little brother. I think I was 13 when I nicknamed him that, only because everyone calls him Ty and I felt I was special so he got a special name to call him. If you ask me on any given day who the most important person in your life (besides God) I would answer Tyler. Tyler is my brother, but as well my best friend, my fan club, my inspiration, my secret keeper, the root of my smile, and the highlight of my life
I know it seems weird that we are close, but we lived in the same room together almost right up until my sister got married. We always took each other sides, unless it was against each other of coarse. And trust me we fought and often, just it lasted about 5 minuets and we were over it. Tyler is the exact opposite of me so we kind of mesh that way
Tuesday was Tyler’s first day of senior year. I swear not only does it seem like yesterday I was going into my senior year, but that Tyler was just entering high school. Ironically, that was actually the same year. He and I have been through so much that I forget how old we are sometimes, but Tuesday I had a stop in time, and I thought about when one day he and I won’t even be in the same zip code. This scares me completely.
School gets out for Tyler at 2:10 and by 2:15 I had already received a call about the classes he had, the ones he was going to drop, and if big sister could call and get him an IN so he could be a T.A. (teachers aide). At that instant it hit me TYLER IS A SENIOR!!! I then felt like my mother as a tear came down my face.
This little boy has grown fast, but along the way he has still kept me close to his heart. I love you little brother. You will do great things in life, I just know it.
xoxo
